A Collection of Texts in Solidarity with Boris

Incorporating a full English translation of ‘DES CHAÎNES TECHNOLOGIQUES AUX BARREAUX DES PRISONS’ (May 2022) – PLUS additional updates from 2022-23, translators’ introduction and a bibliography for further reading

Living through various contexts of everyday democratic totalitarianism, as well as its various ‘states of emergency’, it has become obvious that the projects of capital and the state are inextricable from digital technologies of control.

Similarly in the last years, attacks have spread against these death-technologies and more specifically against the masts and towers supporting 3-, 4-, 5G (and soon 6-, 7-, 8G?), in the countryside and the cities alike.

As a continuity of anarchist assault on power and capital, anarchists talk to us in words and deeds: to fight against the totalitarianism of technology, widespread surveillance, slavery to machine-time and machine-logic, and terminal isolation sold as ‘inter-connectivity’ – these are only a few reasons given by Boris, an Anarchist from France, in a letter from prison claiming an attack in 2020 against two telecoms masts carrying signals for the mobile companies and police.

Boris has had to confront repression and prison, as well as medical tyranny – after a fire in 2021 in the cell in which he was locked up, leaving him initially in an induced coma and then quadriplegic. Accompanying Boris at every stage, and not stopping at all these obstacles, forceful waves of multiform solidarity continue to emanate from his idea and his act. The experimentation and audacity of anonymous attacks also continues to deepen and spread.

Let’s spread and discuss this collection of texts in our contexts!
